Since the position is primarily a part-time job for the summer of 2026 (with the possibility of continued employment after the summer), we wish for you to be available for work between weeks 24-33.

The guard training will be offered from March to May. The training lasts 9 days and will primarily be held in Lund or Malmö. The first week Monday to Friday 08-17, the second week Monday to Thursday 08-17. Securitas will cover both training, meals, and hotel costs.

Working as a guard is perfect for those who enjoy working with people and helping them in their everyday lives. As a guard at our office in Växjö, you will become part of a close-knit team. The length of shifts varies, but they are often 12-hour shifts either day or night. Working every other weekend is common.

As a patrolling guard, your main task is to provide safety for our clients – primarily at industries, offices, and workshops – by protecting property and buildings from fire, theft, and damage. Usually, you will manage alarm systems and report using a computerized patrol information system. The work is independent and often perceived as free, but with a great responsibility. Working hours are mainly at night.

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Driver's license B
• At least 18 years old

Preferred if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• have a civil or military security guard training

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized and can handle periods of high work tempo. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. We see that you as an applicant are an independent person who trusts your own abilities, quickly understands problems, and solves them creatively. You have a systematic and meticulous approach with an eye for detail. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legal compliance, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
